Aruu count member of parliament Odonga- Otto and the Pader woman member of parliament have both retained their seats.
Odonga- Otto on the Forum for Democratic Change ticket won with 11,672 votes beating his rival and Pader LCV Chairman who got 6,551 votes. Samson Ochaya came third with 869 votes.
Christine Lowilla Oketayot the incumbent Pader woman MP beat off a strong challenge from former woman MP Santa Okot by getting 22,374 votes. Okot 16,720 votes. Vicky Nora Odong came third with 6,336 votes.
In the new constituency of Aruu north in Pader district, Lucy Achiro scored 8,599 beating former Amuru Resident District Commissioner, Nabinson Kidega Nock by only two votes. Kidega got 8,597 votes while Bernard Okot Akamba came third with 4,428 votes, Lawrence Odong fourth with 4,199 votes and independent candidate, Benard Ology who scored 426.
Pader district returning officer, Joseph Omona, declared Otto and Lowilla the winners and thanked voters for their patience as the votes were being counted.
Odonga Otto thanked Pader district for voting him back into office again and asked them to welcome Lucy Achiro, the newly voted in Member of Parliament for Aruu.
Besigye gets 45% in Pader
On the other hand Dr. Kizza Besigye, presidential candidate for forum for democratic change scored 45.33% according to the results announced by Pader district returning officer.
Joseph Omona said Besigye scored 20,223 votes while Yoweri Kaguta Museveni scored 17,336 votes [38.86%].
According to the provincial results, Independent candidate Amama Mbabazi scored 3,720 votes [8.34%] while Abed Bwanika scored 1,210 votes [2.71%].
Professor Venancius Baryamureeba got 690 [1.55%] while Maureen Kalya scored 639 [1.43%], Benon Biraaro 437 votes [0.98%] and John Elton Mabirizi got 355 [0.80%] in Pader district.
However, returning officer Pader district, Joseph Omona said the results are only provisional and that only the Electoral Commission Chairman Badru Kiggundu has the mandate to declare the presidential results.
