A 65 year old man identified as Alex Bedogwa was last night murdered along ring road in Pece division, Gulu municipality.
The late Bedogwa was a watchman at Kwolim welding workshop where he was found dead.
Terence Okwonga, a local leader in the area said the deceased was found dead by workers at the workshop, Tuesday morning.
When Acholi Times visited the workshop, the body of the deceased was covered in a sack with a deep wound on the forehead, an indication that he could have been hit by a blunt object.
Okwonga said it is suspected that the deceased was murdered by robbers who reportedly also broke into several houses last night.
Fred Opoka, 38, a welder at the workshop said they were shocked to the deceased covered in a sack when they arrived for work Tuesday morning.
Opoka described the deceased as a kind and jolly man.
The body of the late Bedogwa (which loosely translated means ‘‘life is tough’’ in Luo) has been taken by police to the Gulu regional referral hospital mortuary awaiting a post-mortem test.
In June this year, the body of unidentified young man suspected to be around 23 years was found along Ring Road—the same road where Bedogwa
In July another body of unidentified man was found dead along Juba road in Olailiong, Layibi division in Gulu municipality.
