Kiddy Face is a rare type of musician, because he composes and performs without limitations. The beauty and complexity of his composition and music produce an inner emotion on the listener emanating from the very depth of one’s soul. He is a prolific and talented musician. Acholi Times Entertainment Correspondence caught up with him for a chat.
Born in 1987 and the first born from a family of five children, Kiddy Face was brought up in what is now called Agago district.
Kiddy Face says his childhood dreams were to become the person he is now, a great musician and he says he has always worked towards achieving that. “my musical journey began when I was in primary seven, I wrote a song for my school and the song was liked by every one who heard it, this made me to discover that I had a great talent in me” Kiddy Face recalls.
Kiddy Face first went to a studio in 2007 and says producing a song the he had written for himself was just fantastic. “I want to promote Acholi culture, the song did not become a good hit due to lack of promotion but I did not give up, I later sung a song called Oyut Yut which was talking about corrupt leaders and it received affair airplay.”
Kiddy face says he became an entertainer in order to lift up the voice of the voiceless; this was evident in his Oyut Yut song.
“The greatest moment in my music career was in 2010 when I launched my Malaika album in Kitgum, the turn up was so good, that it just blew me away.” He tells Acholi times.
When asked about his favourite song, kiddy face says it’s Malaika because he sung it for his girl friend. He further says he has not received support from that many people other than his real hardcore fans.
Kiddy Face advises any one who wants to join the music career to be focused and a have a reason for singing.
Kiddy Face craves to meet Akon because he has shown that Africans can also shine in music internationally.
“My last word to all the Acholi people is that they should love their culture, love Avholi and support Acholi Music. I thank all my fans for all their love and support”, he concludes.
Acholi Times wishes Kiddy Face success in all his endeavours. By A Web design Company
