Indian Based Firm In Talks With State House Over Agricultural Investment In Palaro

President Yoweri Museveni has hailed Dar Agro-Processing Uganda Ltd, an Indian-based company that has began talks with state house about “investing in Uganda’s agricultural sector particularly in maize and cassava production.”

The President said that the coming of foreign investors to Uganda to carry business ventures in the agricultural sector is very welcome because it will help in the enhancement of the government efforts in promoting modern agriculture.

The President made the remarks while meeting with officials from Dar Agro-Processing (Uganda) Ltd who called on him at State House, Nakasero, last week. The delegation was led by the Executive Director of the company, Mr. Sunil John.

Mr. Sunil revealed the company will concentrate its investments in the Acholi Sub-Region at Palaro in Gulu District.

Dar Agro-Processing (Uganda) Ltd is a private held agricultural enterprise registered in Uganda with emphasis in the processing of maize flour, animal feeds, high malt syrup, starch and cassava chips primarily  for export.
