    Nwoya Teacher Kills Mother over Chicken

    Police in Nwoya District is holding a secondary school teacher on suspicion of killing his 64-year-old mother.

    Kenneth Komakech, a resident of Labworomo Bwobomanam ‘A’ village, Alero Sub County in Nwoya District allegedly attacked and killed Jacinta Oroma on Sunday morning at around 11am.

    According to police preliminary investigation report, the suspect reportedly attacked his mother after the latter accusing him of stealing her chicken.

    This did not go well with Komakech who out of rage, assaulted the victim, resulting into her death.

    Komakech later handed himself to police.

    By press time, he was being held at Nwoya Central Police Station (CPS).

    Both the suspect and the murder victim were reported to be drunk went fight broke out.

    A case of murder has been registered against the suspect under CRB number 388/2022.

    David Ongom Mudong, the Aswa River Region Police Public Relations Officer (PRO), confirmed the report and said investigation into the murder incident is ongoing.
