luyinycente2The Aruu county Member of Parliament, Mr Samuel Odonga Otto has said former Prime Minister, Mr Amama Mbabazi should first refund the about Shs1.4 billion funds under Peace Recovery and Development Plan (PRDP) meant for Northern Uganda that he mismanaged when he was still in office.

He said the former National Resistance Movement Secretary General who recently declared his intention to run for presidency should hand over the money before he crosses Karuma Bridge to Gulu.

Mbabazi is expected to kick off his tour of Northern Uganda on 14thof July 2015 or faces kickboxing.

Now Odonga Otto says he is mobilizing 1 million youth in a campaign called “One million youth and Vigilantes person’s match to Karuma’ where the group will match to Karuma to demand for the funds from Mbabazi.

The match is expected to take on the 10th of July.

Odonga Otto who was addressing the media on Monday from Northern Uganda media club (NUMEC) with Kilak MP Mr Gilbert Olanya, Mr Simon Oyet the former Nwoya MP, Mr Kelly Komakech the Gulu municipal Council speaker, all dressed in black said there is no party issues in the campaign but that it is to demonstrate that the Acholi people cannot welcome a thief who stole from them in broad day light.

Odonga Otto also challenged President Yoweri Museveni to see that people like Mbabazi are prosecuted and that government should auction the two vehicles bought using PRDP funds.

He said money from these two vehicles can be used to buy hoes and pangas for People in Northern Uganda.

They leaders said they will write to the police in accordance with the Public order management act ahead of the demonstration.

They however said they would not be deterred if police decided not to grant them permission to demonstrate.

Odonga Otto also said if Mbabazi is to become President of Uganda then the leaders in the North will have to demand for secession.

“I swear if Mbabazi is to be president of Uganda, then we shall call for a referendum and form the Nile republic straight away because we can’t accept him,” Odonga Otto said.

Kilak county Mp, Gilbert Olanya said that Acholi will not accept to be used to front anybody because they are also pressing the president to make sure Amama is arrested.

In politics they say there are no friends or enemies. These people better get their politics right. It seems they just wasting time. Hoes and pangas are tools of the past. Now people need tracters and heavier maschineries like havesters and stuff. Babazi stole so just like Odonga acepted bribes money for his cars.Tell me who hasen’t stolen? But when demanding compensation ask for something big.

There is Acholi Proverb that says”Labwor makok pe mako lee” meaning a roaring lion doesn’t catch any animals”The Projects for Acholi Community Recovery Foundation has been a daily song.Hon MP Otto Odonga the issue of Ug. Shs 1.4 billion Northern PRDP Funds should be set as a Forum in the APG Offices so that a Conference is setup to come out with a resolutions to establish a Team to handle and catch the thieves.Apart from Karuma Road Block, what about Soroti Road to Kamdini and the Eagle plane to Gulu Air Field ?
May I advice Acholi Community in The Great Lakes Region and Diaspora to Re-Organise and Plan our Strategies Quietly.
