‘‘Their desire was to kill since they [the gun] men did not rob anything,’’ said Bungatira sub county LC5 Councilor, Amos Lakidi.

Mr Lakidi said the gunmen are suspected to have ben two in number.

‘‘It appears they were two gun men based on the number of shots they were being fired. It appears to have been coming from two guns,’’ Mr Lakidi told Acholi Times on Friday.

Patrick Jimmy Okema, the Aswa region police spokesperson confirmed the incident and said a case of murder by shooting has been registered under CRB2485/2016 at Gulu Central Police.
