Four boys were on Wednesday morning arrested by authorities of Gulu High School in Gulu district after they were found in the girls’ dormitory.

Gulu High school authorities say the four boys jumped over the fence to enter the girls’ dormitory from where they were arrested around 1 am. By the time of filing this story, it was unclear whether the boys had slept in the girls’ dormitory or not.

The boys are not students of Gulu High School.

Gulu district police commander Moses Okoyo confirmed the arrest of the four boys. Okoyo said the boys, one of them a juvenile are detained at Gulu Central Police.

“On Monday this week we caught [in the girls’ dormitories] three youth between 20 and 26 years of age and we warned them. You know they normally jump through the wall fence. We told them to stop trespassing into the girls’ dormitory. And again we caught four Wednesday morning,” said Okoyo.

DPC Okoyo  said one of the four boys is a juvenile while the three are above 18.  He  identified the three adults as Peter Ocen, Samuel Oola and Daniel Otim.

Police say the suspects will be charged in court as soon as their files are ready.

“The three [excluding the juvenile] will be sent to court since they are above 12yrs and charged with criminal trespass. They jumped the fence of the girls’ dormitory and went inside.”

The Gulu District Police Commander  suspects that the youth might have jumped into the Girls’ dormitory to follow their girlfriends on ”unaccomplished” businesses during their long holidays.

“They have just been for a holiday which was a long one. The boys might have followed their friends on unaccomplished businesses,” he said.
