Thugs on Sunday night broke into House of Jeans, a boutique in Gulu town and stole piece of jeans worth 20 million shillings.

The owner of the boutique, Felix Ejesu said the thugs gained access in his shop by breaking a window pane.

Mr Ejesu said preliminary findings indicate the thugs used a child who entered through the broken window pane to steal from the boutique.

Items stolen include 480 pieces of jean trousers worth 20 million Uganda Shillings and 20 pairs of shoes amounting to 700.000 shillings.

The matter has been reported to police. On Monday morning police visited the scene of the crime with sniffer dogs.

House of Jeans is located in Gulu town, next to the former Crane Bank.
