    Gulu Electoral Commission Official Goes Missing

    A Senior Supervisor at the Electoral Commission (EC) In-Charge of Pece- Laroo Division in Gulu City has gone missing.

    Richardson Tabu’s disappearance comes barely three days before Ugandans go to polls to elect a President and Members of Parliament.

    According to reports, Tabu went missing on January 8, 2021 after he left the Electoral Commission (EC) office located in Senior Quarters in Gulu City to go and buy food for fellow staff.

    Since then, his where about has remained unknown.

    His family and EC officials in Gulu have since launched an appeal for his safe return.

    Benson Obete, the Gulu District Registrar confirmed Tabu’s disappearance saying that the Gulu EC official was last seen on Friday evening last week.

    Grace Davis Pande, the Officer-In -Charge of Criminal Investigations Department at Gulu Central Police Station said investigations into the disappearance of the Electoral Commission staff is ongoing.

    A case of disappearance has been registered at Gulu Central Police Station under SD number 23/09/01/2021.
