    Minister Nadduli

There was uproar at Pabbo Sub County headquarters in Amuru district on Wednesday after Hajj Abdul Nadduli, the Minister without Portfolio in- Charge of Political Mobilization suggested that an 18-year-old man who went missing in June year is well and alive in Amuru.

Hajj Nadduli, 74, told residents during a meeting at the Sub County hall that he (Nadduli) was reliably informed that Brian Oola is alive.

Oola, a motorbike boda boda operator reportedly disappeared on June 3, this year after he was believed to have been hired by two unknown men from a boda boda  stage in Pabbo trading centre.

The disappearance of Oola sparked off an attack by locals against commercial charcoal dealers, mainly from other parts of Uganda. The attack left two people, thought to be from Central Uganda, dead and another 35 seriously injured.

Oola’s elder brother, Dacosta Okema, claims that on that fateful day his  young brother was hired by two men who are believed to have been commercial charcoal dealers from central Uganda.

Since then, Okema’s whereabouts are unknown.

According to family members, the Oola was riding a bajaj motorcycle Reg No. UAJ 433Z at the time of disappearence.

However Minister Nadduli claims that investigation by security officials in Amuru point out that Oola is living with a woman in an unnamed village, also in Amuru district.

According to Nadduli, Oola used his motor bike to ferry his new wife to an unknown location where is currently residing.

But this did not go down well with the residents who described Nadduli’s comment as mockery to the family of the missing youth.

Mathew Lukwiya, a resident of Pabbo  said it was very unfortunate for a ‘‘whole Minister’’ to make such a statement considering the fact that the family of Oola is  yet to come to terms with the ‘‘death’’ of their son.

Mary Auma, Oola’s mother, demanded that Nadduli should tell her the whereabouts  of her son since he, (Nadduli) seems to know where he (Oola) is.

The visibly angry Auma said  that the ‘‘government to return her son to her.’’

Realising he had opened a Pandora box, Nadduli, known for his controversy,  backtracked and tasked police to do all within its power to trace the where about of Oola, and safely return  him to his family.

Amuru District Police (DPC), Julius Ahisimbwe, who was also present during the same meeting with the Minister, told residents that investigation on the where about of Oola is on-going.

Bring back OIOLE dance at all levels so as to teach war science and disciplines lost at concentration camps. ‘ckao lweny mito ngech matek including map reading”. Imagine travelling to even lira for the first time can be confusing to lamony manyen.

It is shameful to see luloka appropriating our culture at Ndere Troup and wearing Kono etc. Lamoko wang has its place but please leave bwola dance out of undeserved functions. To truly appreciate bwola please watch youtube ” Uganda Independence of 9th October 1962 and Pre-celebrations” at around 17:27 to hear and see bwola at its royal best. Unless they dress us appropriately for bwola dance please withhold the pleasure from them “lutela”. Also please see also at about 13:58 and learn that OIL was already being discussed / in the future of Uganda as the DRILLING RIG in the Science Wing display of Uganda Museum shows. I would suggest a thorough reviewing of this new documentary for our young Ugandans born after the 60s.
