Benjamin Oteka and his estranged wife Carol Ward during good times

Benjamin Oteka, the Gulu-based Pastor serving a jail term for battering his American wife has lodged fresh application before Gulu High Court seeking to be released on court bail.

Pastor Oteka, 36, was convicted in July this year by the Gulu Chief Magistrate court for assaulting his estranged American wife, Carol Ward, 53 and another American woman identified as Lisa Creck.

Pastor Oteka and Ward had been married for nearly three years and were jointly overseeing the management of Favour of God Ministries, which they jointly managed.

Oteka is currently serving a five year jail term at the Gulu Central Government Prisons.

This is the second time Oteka is seeking to be to gain a temporary freedom after the Gulu Magistrate’ Court convicted him.

In August, Justice Vincent Okwanga, the Gulu Resident High Court judge refused to grant bail to Pastor Oteka on grounds that the court was neither satisfied nor convinced by the applicant by the applicant.

Through his lawyer, Tonny Kitara, the embattled Pastor is seeking to be released on bail.

The lawyers went to the High Court and applied for their client’s bail pending the hearing of his appeal against the verdict of the lower court.

The hearing of the bail application is to begin on Wednesday next week.

Oteka is also battling an allegations of embezzling funds worth $104,000 (about 353.6M) belonging to Favour of God Ministries, a faith-based organisation in Gulu District before anti- corruption court.

Rubbish. This American woman Carol Ward seeking a revenge for the termination of her so called marriage.
She uses lies and trumped up allegations. She is not fit to be called a Christian. She is a pure agent of Satan. Who has ever heard such a case in Uganda before that a threat in hotel causes one to be jailed for 5 years? Those judges are corrupt to give such sentence.

God is watching – His deliverance will come we are not to bow down to this evil woman.

To the Creator belongs the Glory and Honour.

      His name is YAWE.
