A total of 1,548 students are today set to graduate in various disciplines from Gulu University.

The 14th graduation since inception of the University in 2002 will be held at Gulu University main campus in Laroo Division, Gulu Municipality.

According to records from the University’s academic Registrar, 951 male and 597 female will graduate in various disciplines ranging from certificates, Diploma, Degree, Masters and PHDs.

The University’s Public Relationship Officer,   Ms Amelia Zalwango told Acholi Times in an interview Friday: “We are set for this colorful graduation, security is tight and we expect it to be a colorful event,” She said.

The University management had earlier sent out invitation for the President Museveni to be the Chief Guest at the graduation ceremony.

Sources say the President is unlikely to grace the graduation as he is expected to be chief guest at another event in Kampala.

Last year, a total of 1,506 students graduated last year from the University
