Suspected thugs have hacked to death a boda boda motorcyclist in Gulu Town and vanished with his motorcycle.
Walter Ongom met his death from his home in Aywee Sub ward in Pece Division at the wee hours of Saturday morning.
Jackson Ojok, the Aywee LC1 chairperson said the unknown thugs trailed Ongom up to his home and used a machete to severally cut him on the head living before vanishing with his Bajaj motorcycle registration UEX 626Q.
Ojok explained that Ongom was discovered unconscious and rushed to St Mary`s Hospital in Lacor from where he succumbed to injuries on Saturday morning.
Patrick Jimmy Okema, the Aswa river region police spokesperson said police is investigating the matter.
The police has urged boda boda motorcyclists in Gulu to be conscious while riding at night.
