    Top Northern Uganda Artiste, 2-Star is Dead

    Bernard Ogwal also known as 2- Stars Bennie Man, a top local music artist in northern Uganda is dead.

    Ogwal died from Mulago National Referral Hospital Wednesday morning at around 6AM.

    For the last six months, Ogwal has been on and off the hospital.

    Ogwal who hails from Kole District is known for his music such as ‘Wan Bulu Too I Can’ and ‘Weekend’,  ‘Yito pe duny nono’, ‘Acan had no choice’ , ‘kito kidogo’, ‘Figure’, ‘Simple man’ and ‘Turn around’,among others hits.

    Mzee started his music career in the early 2000.

    He will be buried at his ancestral home in Ngai Sub County in Kole District.

    His Manager, Brian Opiyo told Acholi Times by phone that the artiste lost  the battle to Penile Cancer.

    Opiyo said Ogwal was diagnosed with cancer two years ago.

    He described Ogwal as a kind-hearted person who will be dearly missed.

    Tributes have also been pouring in from fellow music artistes.

    Bosmic Joyce Otim, a popular artiste described Ogwal’s death as unfortunate.
