President Yoweri Museveni has said that he is ready to defeat his enemies since he is just making 71 years in September this year.

The president said he will defeat anybody who tries crossing his path.

He made this statement on Tuesday after receiving a shield and a spear From Mr Justus Tugume, the national coordinator of 100% NRM Youth Coalition.

This was at Kanyagoga in Bardege division Gulu municipality where he was officially commissioning 75 Km Gulu-Atiak road.

Tugume said after burying a live former Prime Minister Amama Mbabazi in a coffin, there was need to give the president his shield and protection to defend himself against his enemy

“He is the one we want. Amama will get humiliated once he tries to cross Northern Uganda, “Tugume told Acholi Times shortly after the function.

President Museveni also used the occasion to attack Mr Gilbert Olanya, the Kilak county Member of Parliament saying Olanya is a leader who hates development since he was at the forefront inciting people in Amuru to reject the Madhvani sugar project.

Madhvani has over the years expressed interest in acquiring large chunks of land in Amuru to establish a sugar factory.

Mr Museveni advised people in Acholi not to vote back to Parliament leaders like Olanya who are anti-development in the sub region.

“Until they cross to us, do not vote them back to parliament because they hate to see people develop, after all an industry would create jobs for the local people and who ever hates it should be voted out,” Museveni said.
