A senior cadre identified as Mr Okwonga Clestino Mukora was last week dismissed from a cadre training camp that was taking place at Pabbo Sub County with over 600 participants.

According to our sources within the camp, Okwonga who was in charge of registering the cadres was extorting money from the cadres ranging from Shs2000/= to Shs10,000.

Reports say he was alleged spending the money on alcohol.

Mr Lanek Juma pa Labongo, the Amuru National Resistance Movement (NRM) district chairperson confirmed the dismissal saying officials arrived at the decision to fire Okwonga from the camp because he was also involved in entering the women’s dormitory at the camp early in the morning on the pretext of waking them up,

“That was not his duty,” Labongo said.

He said Okwonga’s actions contravene goals and objectives of the cadre training and that this cannot be condoned.
