Awach Health Centre IV which has been without a functioning latrine since October 2015 has now got one.

Awach health centre is located in Awach Sub County in Gulu district.

The health facility has been operating without a functioning latrine after what they had got used up last year.

But patients at the health facility can now smile after a four-stance drainable new latrine was commissioned on Friday last week.

Dr Cana Kenneth the In -Charge of Awach Health Centre said on Friday that the Latrine will improve the sanitation at the health centre.

The Gulu Chief Administrative Officer, Dorothy Ajwang, while on a monitoring visit in Awach on Friday last week said another latrine will be constructed at Awach health centre next financial year.

Last year when Awach health centre was in the spot light over lack of a functioning toilet, Ajwang said her office had not been informed by the leadership of the health centre.
