    Winners in Agago & Pader LC111 Elections

    In Agago the council will be dominated by the NRM. The LC5 Chairman elect of Agago district, Leonard Opio Ojok is also NRM

    In Pader Town Council, the Democratic Party’s Fearless Kilama is the new LC111 Chairman. Mr Kilama beat five other contestants to win the seat.

    The contenders included former mayor, Patrick Lumumba [FDC] candidate who came second.

    Mr Kilama thanked voters for electing him and pledged to work with Pader residents, irrespective of their party affiliations to develop Pader district.

    NRM Takes Six Seats

    NRM party won six LC III positions in Pader district.

    The NRM winners included David Odongkara from Latanya Sub County, Brilliant Okello Tito in Pajule, Robert Okumu Langole in Acholi-bur Sub County, Charles Lalobo Otto in Ogom Sub County, Charles Odongtoo in Awere Sub County and Christopher Mwaka in Laguti Sub County.

    FDC party candidates won in two sub counties; that is Martine Kidega Canocoya in Atanga Sub County and Bob Kainan Okello in Pader Sub County.

    Independent candidate Lazarus Oboo won in Angagura; UPC candidate John Bosco Oringa won in Puranga Sub County and Independent candidate Robert Okane won in Lapul Sub County.

    Pader district has 12 sub Counties; with 5 in Aruu County and 7 in Aruu North constituency.

    NRM publicity secretary, Justine Ocen said he is happy with the performance of the NRM party and urged all winners to deliver the much needed services in Pader district as entrusted by voters.

    Wins for NRM in Agago

    In Agago district NRM won 90% of the LC111 seats, taking most of the LC III positions in the different Sub Counties.

    NRM won in Lamiyo [Pampas Ocaya], Arum [Joseph Ocen], Omot [Edward Okwir], Patongo town council [David Okello], Patongo Sub County [Bosco Labeja], Adilang [Muhammed Okwir], Agago town council [Hillary Lagen], Wol [Geoffery Akaka], Lukole [Labeja], Parabongo [Apila], Kalongo [Olar], Paimol [Joseph Mukasa] and Lapono [david Lagen].

    FDC’s Raymond Otim won in Omiya Pacwa while independent candidate Rev. Bosco Otim won in Lira-Palwo Sub County.

    Kotomor Sub County elections were cancelled by electoral commission since the ballot papers had interchanged symbols of the candidates.
