Pader Resident District Commissioner Justine Lungajul on Friday summoned the Chief Administrative Officer Andrew Leru to explain alleged mismanagement of at least 115 million shilling.

The money was a conditional grant from the central government for activities in the production and community department.

Also summoned by the RDC included  the Chief Finance officer, Phillip Adonga and the accounts assistant for the production department, Milly Arach.

The three are a suspected to have misused at least 69 million Uganda shilling for the production department and another 46 million shilling for the community department.

Outgoing Pader LC5 Chairman, Alfred Akena told Acholi Times that trouble started for the three officers after the head of the production department Pader districts Robert Okeny ordered for an audit of 69 million conditional grant meant for the construction of Atanga Market and Production Stores in Ongany village.

According to the LCV chairman, the conditional grant was diverted for the three officials summoned by the RDC Justine Lungajul.

The very Friday evening when he summoned the Pader local government officials, Lungajul handed them over to police.

However, of the three, only Milly Arach, an accounts assistant was arrested and remains detained at Pader Central Police. Arach, at the time of filing this report, is said to have applied for in the process of applying for police bond.
