The petition calling for David Ngole’s sacking from office as LC3 Chairman of Palaro sub county

Nine out of thirteen councilors of Palaro Sub County in Gulu district have endorsed a petition calling for the sacking of their Chairman, David Ngole.

In a petition dated 25 November 2016, the councilors accuse Ngole of incompetent, corruption and abuse of office.

The councilors also accuse Mr Ngole of absenteeism from office without delegating his deputy, a factor which they (Councilors) say has stagnated work in the sub county.

Palaro sub county speaker Mr Richard Oryema also accused Mr Ngole of blocking council meetings.

The Gulu district speaker John Okwonga confirmed receiving the petition from Palaro councilors.

Okwonga cautioned the councilors and the community in Palaro against taking the law in their hands.

In an interview with Acholi Times, David Ngole flatly denied the accusations against him describing them as baseless.

Ngole added that since the petition had been forwarded to the Gulu district speaker`s office, he will wait for outcome of the investigators (against him) from office of the minister for local government.

David Ngole is serving a third term as LC3 Chairman of Palaro having been re-elected early this year.

The councilors who  Ngole out of office are: Oryema Richard, the sub county speaker, Sammy Obedmot the youth councilor, Rose Amony, councilor for persons with disability, Albert Ojok, Grace Adyero, Joyce Laker, Lamcon Ocaya, Jeniffer Akello, and Peter Opiyo.
