Police in Gulu is investigating circumstances under which two young girls were found dead Friday morning in Gulu.
The deceased have been identified as Miriam Atim 16 and the other was only identified as Sharon, 14. Both were found dead in a house in Layibi central ward, Tegwana parish in Pece division.
The body of the duo were found lying face-down locked in the house.
The girls reportedly had supper with their family around 10:00 pm Thursday night before they went to their room to sleep.
The Officer In-charge crime at the Gulu central police station James Asubu said the lifeless bodies were found with no injury. Asubo said police suspects suffocation or food poisoning.
Food sample from the deceased was reportedly picked from the deceased for testing at the government analytical laboratory in Kampala.
Aswa region police spokesman Jimmy Patrick Okema said police has opened investigations to find out what could have killed the two teenagers.
