Police in Omoro district is holding one Patrick Ouma, 25, a night watchman over theft of equipment belonging to Radio Maria.
Radio Maria is owned by the Catholic Church and broadcasts Christian programming.
Ouma was arrested on Wednesday evening from his work place at Labworomor village in Opit Sub County, Omoro district.
He is accused of stealing a generator battery and twenty litres of generator fuel from a Radio Maria relay station at Moro hill Lumulu. He reportedly carried out the theft on Thursday last week.
Aswa river region police public relations officer Patrick Okema confirmed the arrest. The police spokesman said 20 litres of diesel fuel were from the suspect.
A case against the suspect was reported to police at Opit post on Friday last week by the Director of Radio Maria, Charles Onen, according to police.
