To curb the spread of Covid -19, Gulu Main Market has closed its 29 entry points for easy management and control of hygiene and handwashing.
The market has 32 entry points located at different sides of the market in both the lower and upper floors.
Patrick Omaya, the Chairperson of the vendors in the market said on Friday that the facility receives about 1,000 people daily from different parts of Gulu and other districts.
Mr. Omaya said the market authorities have put in place handwashing facilities at the three remaining entry points to the market.
At Cereleno and Layibi markets in Pece and Layibi divisions no entry points have been closed but each entrance has a hand washing equipment.
