At least five individuals in Gulu who completed their two-week quarantine will be issued with certificates after completing their quarantine period without showing signs of the disease.
The five were quarantined as a precautionary measure as required by the Ministry of Health as they had been to countries with high numbers of Covid-19 cases.
The Gulu Covid-19 Taskforce in a statement said the five will be issued with certificates. Majority had returned to Gulu from Europe, Asia and South Africa. They were quarantined and monitored for 14-days after their return.
Since March 22, nine individuals in Gulu have been tested for Covid-19. Five turned negative while the results for four are yet to be released by the Ministry of Health.
Gulu has not reported any case of Coronavirus so far but remains vigilant in a bid to halt the spread of any possible infections.
Already, Uganda has registered 33 cases of Covid-19 in the last two weeks.
More than 1,200 cases in Africa have been reported with the global cases nearing 600,000.
