At least 87 individuals in Gulu who completed their two-week quarantine after being suspected having the COVID-19 disease have been issued certificates, according to a statement released by Gulu District Coronavirus Taskforce.
The over 80 individuals were among 93 who were either in self-isolation or institutional quarantine.
They were suspected to have returned to Uganda after travelling to countries listed as high- risk by the Ministry of Health. The majority are said to have been from Europe, Asia and South Africa.
Since March 22, 87 individuals put under quarantine in Gulu have been discharged and sent home.
Three individuals are still under isolation, two are at Gulu Regional hospital while one is in self-isolation.
By press time the results of two individuals taken for testing at the government laboratory in Entebbe, including that of a Kenyan truck driver picked from Layibi Down Shop in Layibi Division in Gulu municipality, had not yet been released.
