Acholi times has exclusively learnt that Mr Makmot Kitara, the chairperson of the District Service Commission was on Tuesday roasted by members of the commission for admitting before the media that some population officer job candidates appeared coached on the questions they were asked.

Mr Makmot told the media early this week that he chaired the panel that interviewed the population officer job candidates and that some candidates appeared like they were coached.

The members of the DSC said it is not the chairperson District Service Commission who speaks to the media but that it is only the secretary who is mandated to speak on any matter arising from the district service commission issues.

This newspaper also learnt that the committee protested having all people re-interviewed but Mr Makmot stood his ground that the 14 candidates for Population officers be re-interviewed

Acholi Times contacted Mr Makmot on Wednesday Afternoon to verify the claims that he was questioned by members,  but his response was that any information Acholi times wanted could be given by the secretary district service commission and without giving to details, he hang up.

Gulu district chairperson, Mr Ojara Martin Mapenduzi told this reporter that the fate of all the interviewees will be decided upon in a meeting he and the CAO were scheduled to hold on Thursday.

He however recommended that all the interviews be cancelled since irregularities were registered at a high level during the interviews.

Mr Labongo Lukwiya Geoffrey, the secretary District Service Commission hang up his phone when contacted on the matter but many people who took the interview accuse him of being at the forefront of leaking the examinations to those who paid money.
