    Four family members perished in Atiak- Juba Highway Accident

    Four people, all members of the same family perished Tuesday night last week in a gristly road accident along the Gulu- Juba highway.

    The accident happened around 8pm at Pawel Lalem in Attiak Sub county, Amuru district.

    The victims were identified as Walter Ongwech Obama, 34, Richard Kidega, 39, Geoffrey Ongom, 30, and Kenneth Okello, 25.

    The four, all brothers were travelling on a Bajaj motorbike registration number UEN 098U when they were crashed by a Kenyan registered trailer registration number KBN 168A/ZC 4949.

    According to reports, on the fateful day, the four men were traveling from Orwonguu village in Atiak Sub County to the home of their sister to attend a traditional marriage ceremony.

    Unconfirmed reports indicate that the trailer, a Mercedes Benz, had no headlights.

    Jimmy Patrick Okema, the Aswa River Region Spokesperson confirmed the incident and said the vehicle has been parked at Pabo Police

    Post in Pabo Town Council, Amuru district.

    Okema said the driver of the trailer is on the run.

    The bodies of the victims were picked and taken to Atiak Health Centre IV from where they were picked by their family for burial.
