A two and half year old South Sudanese boy has drowned in a water tank in Palabek Refugee Settlement in Palabek- Ogili Sub County, Lamwo District.
Police identified the victim as Nelson Canwat, a resident of Zone 4, Block 8 at Palabek Refugee Settlement in Palabek- Ogili Sub County.
The incident happened on Monday last week at about 5pm.
Jimmy Patrick Okema, the Aswa River Region Police Spokesperson said the boy drowned in the water tank.
According to Okema, the water tank which was filled with water was not covered at the time of the accident.
A case of death by drowning has since been registered at Palabek Refugee Settlement Police Post under police reference number SD 20/29/7/2019.
