Jacob Oulanyah, the Deputy Speaker Parliament of Uganda has strongly warned local politicians in Omoro district against dragging his name in petty fights.
Oulanyah says he has received several reports that a section of politicians in the district are using his name to advance their interests.
Oulanyah was speaking on during a full council meeting to pass the 2019/2020 financial year held at Koro Sub County headquarters.
Oulanyah who also doubles as the area Member of Parliament for Omoro County distanced himself from such fights and said such things does not interest him.
He warned that those who will continue to use his name for their selfish interests will be dealt with accordingly at a political rally.
He named Francisco Watdok Awori, the District Councilor V for Sub County as one of the councilors who tried to drag in a fight after calling him on phone.
Awori who was present during the same council meeting however did not comment over Oulanyah’s accusation.
