Gulu University Guild Minister in Trouble over Funds

Gulu university guild Prime Minister Denis Rubahimbya is in trouble after allegedly failing to account for 652,000 shillings of guild money.

Trouble started when the University Guild Account’s Committee tasked Rubahimbya to explain how he spent the cash.

Rubahimbya however failed to account for the fund while appearing before the Guild Council Representatives (GRCs) in November.

The student guild prime minister was suspended after the failure to account for the funds but was reinstated on the agreement that he would refund the money.

According to Andrew Simon Ochwo, Chairperson Guild Account’s Committee (GAC), Rubahimbya is suspected to have misappropriated the money between 28 and 29, August 2015.

Attempts to get a comment from Ruhimbya were futile as he did not pick our calls neither did he return them.
