Pabbo Kal Clan in Amuru district is in need of thirty million shillings to facilitate the burial of Rwot Acaye Zakeo Agole II.
Zakeo, 70, died on 7th June from St Mary`s Hospital Lacor in Gulu after several months of illness.
He will be buried on June 28th at his Royal palace in Pabbo Town Council, Amuru district.
The organising committee says they need UGX 31,134,000 for burial and grave construction, feeding and refreshment, construction and accommodation, liturgy, lighting, entertainment and security, among others.
Paul Acaye, the Chairperson Pabbo Kal chiefdom says they are in dire need of the money to cater for an expected 4,000 people who will attend the burial.
Michael Lakony, the burial committee chairperson said they have resorted to public fundraising to raise the required amount.
By last week Lakony revealed the committee had raised only three million shillings which has been pledged by the Kilak North Member of Parliament, Anthony Akol.
On Wednesday last week, the committee was granted permission by police to conduct public fundraising for the send-off.
